From desktop to web to mobile to wearables, productivity apps to retail platforms, I've been evolving with the industry since the first GUIs and have created innovative solutions for most relevant platforms.
In addition to design skills, I bring a full programming background (Computer Science degree from Dartmouth) and extensive business experience, providing a bridge between the different aspects of your company:
- To the project management team, I represent the voice of the user and can articulate your concerns to programmers in a way that translates to concrete results.
- To the programming team, I speak your language(s) and will provide designs that are possible to build within the specified timeframe. If need be, I can roll up my sleeves and code along with you.
- To the executive team, I bring a comprehensive view of the problem you're trying to solve from a business perspective and can translate your high-level goals into actionable projects.
I also have extensive systems design experience -- for example, as CTO of Catalog Spree, I designed and implemented the system used to publish thousands of retail catalogs on our digital platform. This involved balancing automation with human intervention, and resulted in a tool which could literally create a beautiful, unique catalog for each customer in real time — an industry first.
